Patrons & Partners

We are constantly thankful for the financial support of our patrons, and the multi-faceted support of our partners, who supply costumes and dancewear, provide design services, and other forms of in-kind support that make the project work.

Our Patrons

This project would not have happened without the support of our patrons. Cash financing allows us to help defer travel expenses, acquire props and costumes to tell the stories better, maintain the website, and continue to expand the reach and impact of the project.

In particular, we are grateful to ArtsGreensboro and the NC Arts Council for providing the seed grant to get this project started.

The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro

The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro (previously ArtsGreensboro) is a community-supported nonprofit organization and the largest public and private alliance dedicated to sustaining our local arts economy.

Thanks to annual contributions to the ArtsFund, ACGG invests in arts organizations, projects, teachers, and artists by awarding resources through competitive grant programs, strategic leadership, advocacy, promotional and shared services, and professional development. The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro has served as an “incubator” for many emerging arts organizations, such as the North Carolina Folk Festival and Casa Azul.

The Arts Council is an agency of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. A 24-member citizen board, appointed by the Governor, advises the Secretary of the Department on policies, programs, and research that supports arts development across North Carolina.
